I provide psychological assessment, therapeutic counseling and consultation to children and youth, their families, and their schools.
I aim to provide a complete and detailed evaluation of your child. My practice focus is on the assessment and diagnosis of learning disabilities (LD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD), intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and giftedness-high abilities.
My experience in school psychology, working within public and private school districts, helps me to further advocate for students and their families while navigating the school system.
I am also available for consultation including:
- collaborating with parents and the school team for the Individualized Education Plan
- ongoing intervention for children experiencing anxiety and emotional distress, as well as difficulty understanding their diagnosis
- speaking engagements to parent groups or educators
About Me
I have worked in the field of child psychology since 1998, when I became a School Psychologist in a large Lower Mainland school district. After 8 years working in two districts in the public school system, I became a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists in British Columbia. I have worked in private clinics on the North Shore since that time.
I complete a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education annually to update and enhance my professional knowledge in the field of educational and child psychology.
As a mother of three growing children, I strive both professionally and personally to integrate my extensive knowledge of child development and diversity; understanding the complexity inherent to individual children, their relationships as well as their school and home environments.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, assessment clients will be prioritized for in-person appointments at our offices, while videoconferencing will continue for counselling and consultations. Susan’s office is conveniently located at Suite 300, 1200 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver at the corner of Lonsdale and 12th.
Pay parking is available underneath the building off 12th. There are a limited number of free parking spots on the neighbouring streets. Please allow ample time for parking. Our offices are wheelchair accessible.
