Medical Services Plans (MSP) do not cover these services. Some extended health plans do cover a portion of psychological services provided by registrants of the College of Psychologists of BC. Please check with your insurance provider for more information.
Assessment typically involves 8-11 hours of psychological service time including parent and child interviews, observation and testing of the child, as well as scoring of test results, feedback meetings with parents, and report writing. Further consultation or ongoing treatment services are billed on an hourly basis.
